We return to our ‘Presents’ series after a short hiatus, to semi-legendary London Fields haunt NT’s. The bar slash-club-slash terrace has become synonymous with the ‘grey area’ between a bar and club offering; a cut above try hard bars with a meagre soundsystem, and less of a full weekend commitment than a 7am finish, glued to the front left of the dancefloor.
This is the area most under-appreciated in London club culture; we think that calling in Hidden Spheres, Jeigo and Sinead to spin on the terrace and keep the music rolling inside on the main dancefloor will perfectly help convey it. It also helps that the forecast this weekend is 30 and sunny - a perfect setting for the terrace to kick off proceedings.
For a taste of when the evening reaches the darker hours, check his mix for us above, containing unreleased bits from his Valby pals and forthcoming gems from himself.
Sinead are the trio looking after the terrace in the day, from 5pm expect head nodding foot tapping goodness to set the tone for the evening, we open up the inside dancefloor at 8 - plenty of time for a sun drenched dance outside before. Click here for more information on tickets, venue and anything else. See you there.
We’ve been a fan of Hidden Spheres for a hot minute now, and been luckily enough to collar the producer to figure out what makes him tick in one of our first ‘In Focus’ series.
His signature sound which has spread its wings and flown across multiple stellar labels and imprints (Lobster Theremin, Rhythm Section) will be served up in droves for the duskier hours inside. Expect floor focussed stripped back melodic grooves, leftfield selections and a hotchpotch of different genres. Listen to his monthly NTS show for a snapshot of the guys’ breadth of music knowledge and eclectic tastes. Hidden Spheres Four Heads mix is below:
On the bill is also Jeigo, an artist who’s most recent release on air miles has been moving tectonic plates in the UKs underground underbelly. Expect more of that signature sound on this weekend’s bill; dulcet, emotionally driven velvet wavelengths ribboning around the terrace and inside dancefloor. Jeigo’s sets aren’t just light and airy, a hardened, steely edge keeps the energy ticking over, making the artist the perfect fit for transitioning the vibe from day to night.
